Grit & Purpose

Grit & Purpose represent the spirit and attributes of our Bulldogs. Our desire is to promote academic, athletic, fine arts, and spiritual excellence in all of our students that will transcend into their lives beyond our four walls. When in the face of adversity, the traits of resilience and grit allow students to discover their God-given purpose and persevere the battles that come their way.

shannon@outreacheducation.org | (913)980-8804

Shannon Santschi is the Development Director for Outreach Education. She brings years of experience in education, government work and strategic coalition building to the position. Shannon began her professional career as classroom teacher for USD 501 in Topeka, Kansas. She taught elementary students for five years. From 2004-2010, she had the honor of serving as a state congressional aide and community representative for United States Senator Sam Brownback (KS).

From 2011 to 2019 Mrs. Santschi served as the Director of Investor Education at the Office of the Kansas Securities Commissioner. While there, she restructured and modernized the Investor Education division’s approach to programming which resulted in increased visibility, partnerships, programming and improved outcomes for the agency.
Mrs. Santschi returned to her passion of educating elementary students in 2019, accepting a role a teacher at Outreach Christian Education.

In anticipation of a family relocation, she resigned at the end of the 2020-2021 school year. In 2023, she was invited to be the Development Director for OCE. Upon accepting that role, she remarked, “Having been blessed by attending Christian schools in my formative years, I am honored to participate in God’s call to raise awareness and support for a cause that will result in transformed lives for Jesus for generations.” Shannon has served on several boards and in leadership roles in church, civic and political groups, and gained experience managing successful fundraising events while working as a volunteer.

Mrs. Santschi is a graduate of Kansas State University and holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary and
Junior High Education.

We endeavor to cultivate the Bulldog spirit and tradition of "Fight Like A Bulldog" to develop young men and women who traverse through life with character full of grit and a life full of purpose.

Outreach prioritizes developing, supporting, and retaining faculty. Our students greatly benefit from well-cared for faculty and staff.

Faculty Support

The majority of our students’ financial background makes them eligible for financial assistance or scholarships. The availability of financial aid and scholarships is always dependent on the contributions of individual donors. If you would like to help secure the academic future of our students, please contact our Development Director, Mrs. Shannon Santschi, at shannon@outreacheducation.org.

Students who arrive at our school after kindergarten are tested to assess their understanding and learning gaps. A customized curriculum is then created to help meet students academic needs – whether those needs are to address learning gaps to bring them up to grade level, or more challenging coursework to help continue to advance their education.
