Margie McCartney Scholarship Fund
The majority of our students’ financial background makes them eligible for financial assistance or scholarships. The availability of financial aid and scholarships is always dependent on the contributions of individual donors. If you would like to help secure the academic future of our students, please click the link below or contact our Development Director, Mrs. Shannon Santschi, at shannon@outreacheducation.org.
About OCE
OCE meets students where they are and trains and empowers them to move swiftly toward the future God has called them to.
Students who arrive at our school after kindergarten are tested to assess their understanding and learning gaps. A customized curriculum is then created to help meet students academic needs – whether those needs are to address learning gaps to bring them up to grade level, or more challenging coursework to help continue to advance their education.
Academic Achievement
Generally speaking, we see our students advance two grade levels in their first year at OCE. Most recently, our Kindergarten class tested in the 95th percentile on the Iowa Achievement Test. Lower elementary students, tested above grade level in multiple subjects and our Upper Elementary students scored two grades above grade level. Our Junior High students tested above the national average in math computation, and our High School junior and seniors scored at the college level and above the national average in nearly all subjects.
Our students have grown up to become entrepreneurs, ministers, educators, homemakers, and artists, and have served in the fields of architecture, law, medicine, and more.
Our Families
Our families come from the bi-state Kansas City metro area and bring variety, excitement and inspiration to our school. Our parents have high hopes for their children and believe their children deserve an environment where they are accepted, and can grow and succeed. They value our teachers and our personalized education approach, as well as the spiritual growth and the academic success they’ve witnessed in their child. And we value each and every one of our families.
The majority of our families qualify for a discounted tuition rate or are eligible to receive a scholarship to attend OCE. Although we do all we can to make OCE a possibility for each applicant, our funds are unfortunately limited and we cannot always provide the tuition assistance or aid that we know families need. This sometimes means that a child may not be able to attend, or return.
If you would like to sponsor a student or make a donation to the Margie McCartney Scholarship Fund so that students may confidently continue their studies at Outreach Christian Education, please give here.
